White Chocolate Fruit Salad

This is another great recipe from my friend who is a Weight Watchers leader. She brought it to the Sew In and I knew my husband would love it-he does! If you make it exactly as it is written, it has approximately 2 points per 1/2 cup.
White Chocolate Fruit Salad
2 small boxes Fat Free, Sugar Free White Chocolate Instant Pudding Mix
1-20 oz. can pineapple tidbits, with the juice
1/2 cup orange juice
1-8 oz. Fat Free sour cream
1-8 oz. Fat Free Cool Whip
Drain the pineapple and mix the juice with the orange juice. Add juices to the pudding mix and stir well. Add the sour cream and Cool Whip and fold gently to combine. Add drained pineapple and fruits of your choice and mix well. It is best if you use at least 2 more fruits, I used mandarin oranges, drained and sliced, fresh strawberries.

Exposed! Secrets of a Longarm Quilter!

Yes, I do work in my pajamas a lot of the time! It is just one of the many perks of my job. I used to dress in outfits from Nordstrom to go to work, not anymore!

Thank You, Karen

I just wanted to say, "Thank you so very much!" to Karen Griska for posting pictures of my selvage quilt on her blog, http://selvageblog.blogspot.com/. Not only did she post the pics, she gave me a "shout out" and mentioned this blog! For those who have never seen the selvageblog, you should definitely check it out. You will be amazed at the creativity and should you decide to take the plunge into the "Selvage World", Karen has a wonderful book available to guide you.

Corn Dip

This recipe was a big hit at my Sew In yesterday. I got it from my mom, who, although she does not like to cook, has some really great recipes. That's me and the folks, circa 1975.

Corn Dip

Combine the following:
2 cans Green Giant Mexicorn or Delmonte Fiesta Corn, drained
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
1 cup mayo
1 cup sour cream
1 bunch green onions, thinly sliced
1-5 jalapenos, chopped ( I used 1 with the seeds removed)

I Love My French Press Slippers!

My adorable (if I do say so myself!) French Press Slippers are
finally finished. I found out about this pattern on this blog,
http://frenchpressknits.blogspot.com/. It is available for purchase electronically which is great because you get it really fast. I am an advanced beginner knitter and I had no trouble with the pattern. You need to be able to knit, purl and make a stitch (I had to refer to "The Complete Idiot's Guide to Knitting and Crocheting to learn this!) and then assemble the pieces and felt them. Because I have a front loading washing machine, I had to run them through 3 times to achieve the look I wanted, so if you don't have a top loader, you may want to mooch off of a friend who does!
